MADNESS PHOTOGRAPHY

Madness Photography started as an official, serious company in 1998.
But the history of Madness Photography started long before. Onno “Berserk” Wieringa, founder and owner of Madness Photography, has been a self-taught photographer since he was a little kid and started to take pictures of something he loved since the day he was born: motorcycles!

His motorcycles
After he finished high school, he started working for various Harley-Davidson shops, where he learned to work on bikes. At the age of 17, he already owned two Triumph’s and when he was eighteen he had four Triumphs and a Suzuki GT 750. After getting his drivers license, when he was eighteen, the Triumphs all had to go and were replaced by a bike that he had wanted since the day he was born; a Harley-Davidson. This bike is still in his life; it’s an FXE-F 1200 Super Glide Fat Bob, which has been rebuild and modified endlessly and ridden for many miles. Going everywhere on the bike, there was one thing he always had in his pocket; his camera!
At the age of 23 he started drag racing, and he and his team named “Midnight Madness”, raced the bike on all the major races and drag strips all over Europe. He has competed in many classes; starting with the Street bikes, than Ultimate Street Bike, Super Stock, Pro-Stock, and then finally in the fastest gas burning class; Top Gas! Also again taking thousands of photo’s of everything interesting, at every racetrack! Being a racer for more than 18 years gave him insight in the world of fast bikes, and he’s still involved in the world of drag racing as a helper/mechanic and of course photographer / reporter.

NEW HARLEY-DAVIDSON STREET ROD DRAG BIKES READY TO RACE AT ENGLISHTOWN

Screamin' Eagle/Vance & Hines Team Set to Roll Out All-New NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycles
MILWAUKEE - The Harley-Davidson® Street Rod ™ will hit the drag strip this weekend when the Harley-Davidson Screamin' Eagle/Vance & Hines drag racing team debuts all-new Street Rod-inspired bodywork for its Pro Stock Motorcycle competition bikes at the NHRA Summer Nationals, June 8-11, at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park, Englishtown, N.J.

Powered by the liquid-cooled High Output Revolution X 750 engine with suspension tuned for maneuvering through traffic and gritty urban streets and steeped in tough Harley-Davidson® Dark Custom ™ styling, the Harley-Davidson® Street Rod™ inspires the sleek, menacing lines of carbon-fiber racing bodywork that will look right at home on the NHRA starting line.
"With its muscular stance, high-performance engine and hot-rod inspired styling, the new Street Rod motorcycle is the perfect vehicle to carry Harley-Davidson's championship winning Pro Stock Motorcycle program forward on the race track and in the showroom," said Scott Beck, Harley-Davidson Global Brand Director.

The new Street Rod competition bodywork was designed at the Harley-Davidson Design Studio in Milwaukee in collaboration with Vance & Hines Motorsport and was wind-tunnel tested at Wichita State University during its development.

"The Street Rod is a contemporary interpretation of American performance and Harley-Davidson design heritage. It's a tough looking motorcycle with design cues that reflect hot rod and muscle car DNA," said Brad Richards, Harley-Davidson Vice President of Styling & Design. "We wanted to create a new body that would not only be competitive on the track but also embodies the personality of the production Street Rod, which we think is a great tie in because they are both motorcycles with dynamic performance deeply rooted in their DNA. We particularly love the design of the fairing and the bobbed tail section because they truly identify the motorcycle. Whether it's the race bike or the pr

NUVIZ reveals the first full-integrated Head-Up Display for Motorcyclists

NUVIZ reveals the first full-integrated
Head-Up Display for Motorcyclists

San Diego CA - : NUVIZ, Inc. announces the production of NUVIZ, the first Head-Up Display designed specifically for the needs of motorcycle riders. The fully-integrated Head-Up Display (HUD) is designed to be added onto a motorcyclist’s full-face helmet and displays customizable information near the rider’s natural line of sight. NUVIZ seamlessly brings together all of the important functions of motorcyclist’s navigation, communication and media players into a single device, allowing riders to stay connected, but not distracted. NUVIZ includes a built-in HD action camera and a wireless handlebar controller that ensures intuitive control of all functions.

Once mounted to the helmet and aligned to the user’s eye, the advanced NUVIZ optics create a virtual image that "floats" just in the periphery of the eyesight, reducing eye movements and the need to re-focus inside the motorcycle’s cockpit. This integrated all-in-one system removes the cockpit clutter of multiple devices, and allows a rider to move from motorcycle to motorcycle with a single helmet-mounted solution. Adventure motorcycle riders, who often stand while riding, will enjoy consistent access to all their important information without having to look down into the cockpit. Powered by NUVIZ, riders can take charge of their riding experience and interact seamlessly with all of these different technologies in one easy-to-use device.

“Years ago we were sure we had a good idea and the right technical expertise to bring this product to market," says Co-Founder Malte Laass. "As enthusiasts, we wanted to develop a solution that not only enhances and simplifies the riding experience, but lays a foundation for the forthcoming technology revolution that will affect riders."

NUVIZ pairs with a dedicated smartphone app available via the App Store and Google Play, allowing riders to plan routes and save favorite rides, instantly access photos captured with NUVIZ, or view riding stats tracked with NUVIZ’s comprehensive set of sensors. The NUVIZ app will also allow users to share their rides, discover new routes, record ride data, and edit and upload photos instantly via social media. The NUVIZ app allows for easy updates and the
addition of new features as they are added, further improving the rider experience.

Through a combination of features on the app
