MADNESS PHOTOGRAPHY

Madness Photography started as an official, serious company in 1998.
But the history of Madness Photography started long before. Onno “Berserk” Wieringa, founder and owner of Madness Photography, has been a self-taught photographer since he was a little kid and started to take pictures of something he loved since the day he was born: motorcycles!

His motorcycles
After he finished high school, he started working for various Harley-Davidson shops, where he learned to work on bikes. At the age of 17, he already owned two Triumph’s and when he was eighteen he had four Triumphs and a Suzuki GT 750. After getting his drivers license, when he was eighteen, the Triumphs all had to go and were replaced by a bike that he had wanted since the day he was born; a Harley-Davidson. This bike is still in his life; it’s an FXE-F 1200 Super Glide Fat Bob, which has been rebuild and modified endlessly and ridden for many miles. Going everywhere on the bike, there was one thing he always had in his pocket; his camera!
At the age of 23 he started drag racing, and he and his team named “Midnight Madness”, raced the bike on all the major races and drag strips all over Europe. He has competed in many classes; starting with the Street bikes, than Ultimate Street Bike, Super Stock, Pro-Stock, and then finally in the fastest gas burning class; Top Gas! Also again taking thousands of photo’s of everything interesting, at every racetrack! Being a racer for more than 18 years gave him insight in the world of fast bikes, and he’s still involved in the world of drag racing as a helper/mechanic and of course photographer / reporter.

Zac Brown Band Heads to 2014 Sturgis Buffalo Chip® Music Festival

Zac Brown Band
Heads to 2014 Sturgis Buffalo Chip® Music Festival

Sturgis, SD (February 25, 2014) - The Sturgis Buffalo Chip announces that the GRAMMY award winning Zac Brown Band will perform its down-home hits at the Chip’s 33rd annual Motorcycle and Music Festival. The genre-bending group will headline the festival Monday, Aug. 4, 2014, following the Buffalo Chip’s annual Legends Ride celebrity charity event. Zac Brown Band joins the nine-day superstar lineup of concerts, hot off the tail of their recent critically acclaimed studio EP, “The Grohl Sessions Vol. 1.” The festival takes place Aug. 1-9 and will include performances by Mötley Crüe, Alice Cooper, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Florida Georgia Line, John Mayall and many others. The Buffalo Chip will continue to fill out the festival lineup with some of the biggest names in music and will be announcing more bands throughout the year.

“Zac Brown Band is a group you can’t help but love,” says Rod Woodruff, president of the Sturgis Buffalo Chip. “It’s impossible not to smile during their performances. One minute Zac is serenading the crowd with his gentle country drawl, and the next minute the band is knee deep in a Metallica cover. They’re one helluva good band.”

Zac Brown Band sells out shows at venues across the nation, but its performance at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip offers fans something they won’t be able to get at any other venue. Guests will be able to hear the band play with a backing track of revving motorcycles reverberating throughout the natural outdoor amphitheaters. Crowds are sure to feel this rumble crescendo when the band breaks out one of its unexpected covers or any of its chart-topping hits like “Chicken Fried,” “Highway 20 Ride,” “Free,” “Toes,” “As She’s Walking Away,” “Colder Weather,” “Keep Me in Mind,” “Goodbye in Her Eyes,” and “Sweet Annie.”

Masterful skill and an ability to break down genre barriers have brought Zac Brown Band a tremendous level of success since forming in 2002. The renowned group has won eight out of its fifty-five total music award nominations, produced three platinum-selling albums and amassed a staggering eleven No. 1 hits on the Billboard Country Charts.

Electric Starter Motor Indian Big Chief 1948

Presentation of the Electric Starter Motor Indian Big Chief 1948 by Tony "Indian" Leenes

Mr. Indian of Holland; Tony Leenes, developed an electric starter motor for the old Indian Big Chief models.
Tony explains; "These bikes are not always easy to kickstart, and as we all get a little older, the question often asked was, what can we do to make it start easier? The answer I came up with, was an electric starter. The E-Starter for old Indians comes as a complete bolt-on kit, with no major modifications required."

It took Tony Leenes two years to develope the electric starter kit for Indian Big Chief models, and the presentation was at the MOTORbeurs in Utrecht, The Netherlands.
