Madness Photography started as an official, serious company in 1998.
But the history of Madness Photography started long before. Onno “Berserk” Wieringa, founder and owner of Madness Photography, has been a self-taught photographer since he was a little kid and started to take pictures of something he loved since the day he was born: motorcycles!

His motorcycles
After he finished high school, he started working for various Harley-Davidson shops, where he learned to work on bikes. At the age of 17, he already owned two Triumph’s and when he was eighteen he had four Triumphs and a Suzuki GT 750. After getting his drivers license, when he was eighteen, the Triumphs all had to go and were replaced by a bike that he had wanted since the day he was born; a Harley-Davidson. This bike is still in his life; it’s an FXE-F 1200 Super Glide Fat Bob, which has been rebuild and modified endlessly and ridden for many miles. Going everywhere on the bike, there was one thing he always had in his pocket; his camera!
At the age of 23 he started drag racing, and he and his team named “Midnight Madness”, raced the bike on all the major races and drag strips all over Europe. He has competed in many classes; starting with the Street bikes, than Ultimate Street Bike, Super Stock, Pro-Stock, and then finally in the fastest gas burning class; Top Gas! Also again taking thousands of photo’s of everything interesting, at every racetrack! Being a racer for more than 18 years gave him insight in the world of fast bikes, and he’s still involved in the world of drag racing as a helper/mechanic and of course photographer / reporter.

2014 MODEL YEAR Rick‘s 7° Touring Triple Trees

2014 MODEL YEAR Rick‘s 7° Touring Triple Trees

Rick‘s Touring 7° 2014 Model Year Triple-trees
for 21, 23 and 26’’ front wheel conversion (TÜV-approved)

Road tested, TÜV-approved and now already adapted to fit the Harley-Davidson 2014 Touring Models: Rick‘s „Touring“ Triple-trees have already been adapted to the changes in the 2014 model year design. Intense development and testing went into the CAD-design of these triple-trees as ridability at all speeds had to be retained.

Mounting a 21’’, 23’’ or 26’’ front wheel into a motorcycle is – due to the larger diameter of the wheel – equal to a 2-4 Inch extended front fork, resulting in higher center of weight on a motorcycle that is sometimes tail-heavy from the weight carried in the rear cases. Not to forget the vulnerability to side wind. Hardly the receipe for a stable ride, but it was up to the Rick‘s development team to compensate for this – and the job has been done. With excellence! Rick‘s touring 7° triple-trees angle the stock fork forwards to achieve the stock height. In the 21’’, 23’’ and 26’’ version, the stock fork in original length can be retained. Resulting in stock riding characteriststics that also benefit from the 2014 model years bigger diamerter fork tubes and bearings: Great stability in high speeds and a much improved handling under all conditions.
CNC-machined in Rick‘s „House of Custom“, Rick‘s Touring 7° Triple-trees are strictly „bolt-on“: There are no frame modifications and the stock fork can be retained! Progressive springs are recommended, but the use of stock components is reducing the costs considerably. The triple-tree kit is available for Harley-Davidson Touring models like the „Road King“ and all variations of the „Electra-Glide“ and „Street Glide“ and comes with complete mounting hardware and instructions.
