Madness Photography started as an official, serious company in 1998.
But the history of Madness Photography started long before. Onno “Berserk” Wieringa, founder and owner of Madness Photography, has been a self-taught photographer since he was a little kid and started to take pictures of something he loved since the day he was born: motorcycles!

His motorcycles
After he finished high school, he started working for various Harley-Davidson shops, where he learned to work on bikes. At the age of 17, he already owned two Triumph’s and when he was eighteen he had four Triumphs and a Suzuki GT 750. After getting his drivers license, when he was eighteen, the Triumphs all had to go and were replaced by a bike that he had wanted since the day he was born; a Harley-Davidson. This bike is still in his life; it’s an FXE-F 1200 Super Glide Fat Bob, which has been rebuild and modified endlessly and ridden for many miles. Going everywhere on the bike, there was one thing he always had in his pocket; his camera!
At the age of 23 he started drag racing, and he and his team named “Midnight Madness”, raced the bike on all the major races and drag strips all over Europe. He has competed in many classes; starting with the Street bikes, than Ultimate Street Bike, Super Stock, Pro-Stock, and then finally in the fastest gas burning class; Top Gas! Also again taking thousands of photo’s of everything interesting, at every racetrack! Being a racer for more than 18 years gave him insight in the world of fast bikes, and he’s still involved in the world of drag racing as a helper/mechanic and of course photographer / reporter.

Murder One - Martin Becker's handcrafted Street Dragster

Super-clean and extraordinary handcrafted "Made in Germany" Build-Off Winner and "Best Radical" at Bike and Music 2017: Martin Becker's handcrafted Street Dragster is a showcase of things to come...

Martin Becker or MB-Cycles might be new name for you, but one that needs to be recognized: His way into the top adresses of German customizers was planted with the 2016 win at the annual CUSTOMBIKE "Build-Off" where "Murder One" was assembled in a 2 and a half day head-to-head scramble against France's "Team EMD", followed by top-position in every bikeshow the unique handcrafted "one-off" participated, including "Best radical" at the prestigious Bike and Music Bikeshow in Geiselwind/Germany in August 2017. The success did not go unnoticed by others and while the "Build-Off" bike saw already some support by sponsors, Martin Becker has been choosen to design and build one of Custom Chrome Europe's 2018 "Bolt On and Ride" bikes! While that is still "under construction" and – as the theme demands – probably not as radical as "Murder One", but certainly with his special love to detail and super-clean look!

The city of Heidelberg, at the edge of the Odenwald forest where the river Neckar leaves the hills heading for the river Rhine in almost straight line, has yet not been on the German customizing map, but Hockenheim is not far away and the plain of the Rhine river is home to numerous established Customizers and Harley-Dealers. When preparing the plans for his Build-Off bike, Martin Becker knew that he would need something special – and consequently he first neglected all thoughts of a later homolgation: Build now, homologate later. Customizing has become increasingly difficult in Europe, but particular in Germany, where all EU
restrictions and laws are followed with the typical German blindness for obedience and 110% accuracy. And checked and controlled too. But Martin Becker is not one to give up that easy!
